Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons Bertolli^® Olive Oil Light Taste, , divided
- 1 large sweet onion,, sliced
- 1 bunch (1-1/2 pounds) broccoli rabe,, tough ends removed and cut into 2-inch pieces
- 1 jar (24 ounces) Bertolli^® Traditional Marinara with Italian Herbs & Fresh Garlic Sauce
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) cannellini beans, rinsed
- 8 ounces bow tie pasta,, cooked as directed on package
Directions
- Step 1: Heat 1 Tbsp. oil in large nonstick skillet on medium heat; add onions. Cook 8 min. or until very tender, stirring occasionally. Add broccoli rabe; cook 7 min. or until broccoli is tender-crisp, stirring occasionally.
- Step 2: Stir in sauce and beans; cook 3 min. or until heated through. Toss with hot pasta and serve with grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
- Step 3: Variation: For a heartier dish, omit olive oil. Cook 1 lb. ground or sliced Italian sausage until done; remove from skillet. Add onions and continue as directed.
